After spending 36 years in software, hardware, and information services consulting, (with stops along his career at Novell, IBM, Oracle and other technology companies), it was time for Rex to change focus to the energy technology niche. Rex comes to the table with vast experience in complex systems and solving problems. Multiple times in his career he has pulled together consortiums of multiple vendors and partners to solve industry problems and needed change.

Mr. Habeisen has a love of teaching and is a former radio talk show host, so sliding behind the microphone again to the podcast was a natural fit. Mr. Halbeisen is the host of the fast-growing Energy Advisors podcast

The range of topics spans the energy sources of nuclear, fossil fuels, solar, wind, hydrogen cells, hydroelectricity, fuel cells, biofuels, and more. Rex spends a great deal of time researching hot topics like storage, EV’s, blockchain, and AI power consumption along with policy, laws, trends, technology innovation, and the people who drive the energy industry. The podcast has a mission for education and facts without spin or political agendas and a catalyst of distributed knowledge about energy.

Peers have labled Rex as a catalyst of change with tireless levels of energy. The spirit of change has allowed Mr. Halbeisen to be a serial entrepreneur. One of his current projects is serving as the Executive Vice President of Smart.

Rex has 2 new books releasing in 2024, “Gridlock – The Coming US Power Struggle ”, an Examination and re-thinking of the US power grid with the coming unavoidable collision of individualized power generation versus utility companies as they currently exist.
